Week 93: The Final Hey Y'all

So as many of you are aware, I come home this Friday.

I am both happy and sad to be leaving my mission, it has been the absolute best thing I have ever done.
I don't really have a lot to say here, I didn't think it would end while under quarantine.

I just want to thank you all for the love and support I have received, this has been the greatest time of my life and I am excited to see what the future holds.

I have added my Facebook post:
***
Doctrine and Covenants 39:14 "Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio."

Well my time here in the Ohio is almost over.  I will be returning home on Friday.  I am so so so grateful for the time I have had to be srving my mission here, I have truly come to love the people here and also my Savior Jesus Christ and His Restored Gospel.

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the true church.  Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, he restored Christ's church back to the earth.
I know this is true because I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon. I love the Book of Mormon, it is the most true book on earth.

I have come closdr to Jesus Christ by reading it and I know you all will too.
I know Heavenly Father loves us and we are all His children.  He wants us all to return back to Him, that is why he sent His only begotten to make it possible for us to return.

Thank you all for all the support I have been given and the friendships I have made.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

I thank you all again, love you all, and since I won't be seeing you soon.

Good morning, good evening and good night 💚💙

Week 92: Hey y'all

This past week we have still been in quarantine, so not much has happened.  Mainly a lot of being inside and trying to contact people.

I honestly don't really know what else to say.... The branch here has still been super awesome and have helped us out a lot!

Ill be honest, it does feel a little weird to be coming home soon, it feels like not to long ago that I got to Ohio.  I have absolutely loved my time here and will forever be grateful for all I have learned and all those I have met.

Thank you all for the support, I love y'all!

Week 91: Hey y'all

This past week was good, we had training visits with the Spanish Elders in our district so I got to be a Spanish elder for the day! I didn't understand anything going on 😂 😂

Other than that, yesterday I was a little sick but I'm feeling good today, I don't got the rona.

Also I really don't know what to say for these weeklys anymore 😂 quarantine is a killer, we have been inside for a long long time 😂 I'm still alive.

I love you all and thank you for all the support and love!

Week 90: Hey y'all

So this past week is honestly a blur 😂 everyday just kind of mushes together under quarantine.

We did have a training visit with our zoneleaders, I went with Elder Schreiter and it was so much fun! it ended up snowing on us and it was a blizzard 😂 thank you April.

Other than that day everyday was kind of the same: in the apartment, we go out for walks, we try to get in contact with people, a lot of the branch is a little older so texting doesn't work a lot of the time.

We also had a lipsync challenge in the zone, enjoy the video. ðŸ˜‚

I love you all and thank you for all the support and love!

Week 89: Hey y'all

I absolutely love Easter, at home it was because we got free candy ofc. But on my mission I've come to understand the real reason and now I love it even more!

As we #HearHim today by remembering Him, I want everyone to take a moment to think about the blessings Jesus Christ has given us.
I wanted to share some things that I am grateful for, these are not in any particular order.

~ I am the most grateful for the people that have been placed in my life, my family, friends, and those that I have been able to come in contact with while serving in the Great OCM.
My family means so much to me, there are times where we may hate each other or be at each other's throats but I wouldn't trade any of them for anyone else.
I am a strong believer in that family does not just mean blood relation, family is all those that love and support you and my friends have always been a huge support to me going through high school and life.
~ Number two on my list is a man that always showed and was a huge example of the second greatest commandment "Thou shalt love they neighbor as thyself." - My football coach, Coach Cazzie Brown.  He always said "You can ignite many candles without diminishing your own flame".  He was alwas looking for ways to help and seve others.
~ The Book of Mormon - As I have studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon I have come to LOVE and know of its truthfulness.  I know that whatever you may be going through, you can find an answer through the Book of Mormon.
~ My Mission. - My mission has been the absolute best experience and the greatest thing I have ever done, I have grown closer to God and His son Jesus Christ, the reason for the Easter Season.  I know that Christ suffered for me in the Garden of Gethsemane.  He took upon himself not just all of my pain, sicknesses, trials and sins. But everyone who has lived or will live.
I know that He suffered and died on the cross and 3 days later he was resurrected and that HE overcame death, because of Him, I too can one day overcome death and live with Him and my Heavenly Father and all of my loved ones again.

How was everyone else's Easter?

Ours here was pretty good, we got to be with a couple other Elders for the day and had some awesome video chat lessons with members in the branch.

Other then Easter the week has been the same old same old in quarantine, just trying not to go too crazy.

You are all familiar with my hair 😄  and the need to get a hair cut every 3 weeks so I did something this week.  I cut my own hair for the first time. ✂  I think it turned out not to bad 😄

Today we did get to go hang with the Greenfield Elders for a bit, we went to a park and walked the trails. It was just good to get out of the apartment ðŸ˜‚

I love you all and thank you for all the support and love!

Week 88: Hey y'all

Alright so first off, wasn't this General Conference amazing!

One of the talks that stood out to me was by David A. Bednar. I loved the phrase that the Lord works from the inside out, the world works from the outside in.
I find this saying to be so true, to many times have I seen people over worry themselves with thinking that outside forces with change them for good, it's true that a outside force can change your behavior but it is through Christ that we can change our nature into something that our Heavenly Father wants us to be, which is more like Him.

When I think of something changes from within, I think of a seed.
Alma 32:28 "Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this"
This pattern given to us by the ancient Prophet Alma can be summed up with one word, S.E.E.D.

Swell
Enlighten
Delicious.

As we accept Christ into our lives he will plant this seed into our hearts, and if we nourish it by following Him and doing what He has asked us to do. That seed will begin to Swell and Enlarge our hearts and Enlighten our minds and will fill us with a overwhelming joy and be Delicious to us.

Just like the Prophet Lehi in his vision of the tree of life, we will be filled with that overwhelming joy and have a desire to share it with those that we love.

Other then that we have been stuck in the apartment all week, kind of can't leave 😂
The Madison Lake branch has been awesome though! They have been reaching out and asking to help us however they can.

I love you all and thank you for all the support and love!

Week 87: Hey y'all (weird way to start off my last transfer)

So originally this should have been sent to you this coming Wednesday but there was a change of plans.  On Wednesday last week we got an email from President Stratford saying the new missionaries coming in will be here on Friday so we had to change transfers to Saturday.

Well, I found out I was getting transferred on Friday and I also got to be companions with Elder Rawson again from Thursday night to Saturday due to Elder Mugleston going home. It was a blast to be with him again!

I am now in the Madison Lake branch (London Ohio) with my New companion Elder Jones. He is from Idaho Falls and has been out a little less then a year.

The rest of the week has been a little weird as well, we have just been in self isolation and trying not to go crazy ðŸĪŠ 😂 😂

I love you all and thank you for all the support and love!
